Dr. Barnhart is an orthodontist in Tyler, Texas, who loves her husband Sam and their adorable Australian Shepherd, Cody. She loves making her patients smile and making sure each patient feels special. When she’s not doing amazing work in the office, you can find her slalom skiing, hanging out with her husband and puppy, or watching college football.
Dr. Barnhart is a Houston native with strong Tyler roots. Both of her parents grew up in Tyler, and attended Robert E. Lee High School. Her parents have maintained a home on Lake Tyler, where Dr. Barnhart spent a lot of time growing up. In addition, Dr. Barnhart was inspired to become an orthodontist right here in Tyler when she was younger — when Dr. Reuland treated her as a patient! This led to Dr. Barnhart spending her summers during school at Reuland & Barnhart Orthodontics, working and learning what an orthodontic practice looks like.

Elisabeth Barnhart graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry, where she graduated third overall in her class. She continued her education in the orthodontic program at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, where she received her Master of Science degree in Oral Biology and Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics. In the upcoming year, Dr. Barnhart will complete the voluntary board certification examination with the American Board of Orthodontics. She will then continue to advance her learning through involvement in continuing education opportunities.
